Performance Awards focus entirely on the performance of prepared pieces and are alternatives to the RGT@LCM Grade Exams, whilst still enabling candidates to have their playing professionally assessed and to receive independent feedback on their playing from an experienced examiner, and to gain an accredited qualification. The performance of free choices of suitable songs, pieces and own compositions is encouraged.
Filmed and Recorded Performance Awards are particularly useful for those who find it hard to take time off for an exam or to travel to an exam venue, or for those who get overly nervous in an exam situation, as performances can be submitted by disc or uploaded online at any time throughout the year without the need to attend an exam venue.
In addition to Performance Awards for individuals, RGT@LCM also offers ensemble exams for groups of two of more ukulele players.

RGT@LCM ukulele performance awards are organised by London College of Music Exams (one of the world's most respected music examination boards, established since 1887) and accredited and certificated by the University of West London, resulting in a recognised standard by which the skills and abilities of ukulele players can be assessed.
